Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sour cream
  • 1 cup (115g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp (8g) taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp (5g) smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chunky salsa
  • 2 tbsp (10g) chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp (15g) diced red onion
  • 1 sliced jalapeño

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and sour cream together using a spatula until smooth and no lumps remain.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning, smoked paprika, and garlic powder until the mixture is a uniform, pale orange hue.
  3. Fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and the lime juice.
  4. Transfer the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Spread the drained salsa evenly over the surface, pressing it slightly into the cream cheese.
  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese has melted into a golden-brown crust.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes to set.
  9. Scatter the fresh cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño slices over the top just before serving.
