Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning powder
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning in a bowl. Note: Stir vigorously until the base is completely smooth.
  2. Fold in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar. Note: Use a folding motion to keep the chicken shreds intact.
  3. Stir in the crumbled bacon. Mix until the bacon is evenly distributed so every bite has a smoky hit.
  4. Transfer the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish. Note: Use your spatula to smooth the top flat.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar over the surface. Ensure it covers the edges to create a cheese crust.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes. Cook until the edges are bubbling and the center is set.
  7. Turn on the broiler for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely until the top is golden brown and slightly charred.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with thinly sliced fresh chives. Note: Add chives last to keep them bright green.
