Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp ranch seasoning powder
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning in a bowl. Note: Stir vigorously until the base is completely smooth.
- Fold in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar. Note: Use a folding motion to keep the chicken shreds intact.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon. Mix until the bacon is evenly distributed so every bite has a smoky hit.
- Transfer the mixture into an 8x8 inch baking dish. Note: Use your spatula to smooth the top flat.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar over the surface. Ensure it covers the edges to create a cheese crust.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes. Cook until the edges are bubbling and the center is set.
- Turn on the broiler for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely until the top is golden brown and slightly charred.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with thinly sliced fresh chives. Note: Add chives last to keep them bright green.
