Ingredients:
- 397g sweetened condensed milk, chilled
- 355ml ice-cold water
- 96g Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 710ml heavy whipping cream, cold
- 312g Nilla Wafers
- 5 large bananas, firm-ripe
Instructions:
- Whisk the 397g condensed milk and 355ml ice cold water in a large bowl.
- Incorporate the 96g pudding mix slowly into the liquid. Whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and free of granules.
- Refrigerate this base for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
- Whip the 710ml heavy cream in a chilled bowl. Stop when stiff peaks form and the cream looks velvety.
- Fold the set pudding mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula. Continue until no yellow streaks remain, but do not stir aggressively.
- Slice your 5 bananas into 1cm thick rounds.
- Layer 1/3 of the 312g Nilla wafers at the bottom of your dish, followed by 1/3 of the bananas and 1/3 of the pudding.
- Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with a smooth pudding top.
- Garnish with crushed wafers or a whole cookie in the center for that Magnolia look.
- Seal the dish tightly and chill for 4 hours until the wafers are soft and the structure is firm.
