Ingredients:
- 20 cherry tomatoes (approx. 10 oz / 280g)
- 20 mini mozzarella pearls (approx. 10 oz / 280g)
- 20 fresh basil leaves (approx. 1 oz / 30g)
- 3 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
- Use paper towels to pat every tomato and mozzarella pearl completely dry to ensure glaze adhesion.
- Fold each basil leaf in half or roll it loosely to create a compact anchor.
- Thread one cherry tomato onto the skewer, pushing it halfway down.
- Slide on the folded basil leaf, pressing it firmly against the tomato.
- Finish by adding one mozzarella pearl, leaving a small handle of the skewer exposed at the bottom.
- Repeat the assembly for all remaining ingredients.
- Arrange the skewers in a circular pattern or neat rows on a serving platter.
- Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil evenly over the skewers.
- Apply the balsamic glaze in a zig-zag motion across the platter using a squeeze bottle.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper.
